Kids Ride Shotgun Windproof MTB Jersey

Getting kids out on bikes should be as easy as possible. The Kids Ride Shotgun Windproof MTB Jersey removes the “too cold” excuse entirely — a proper little riding jersey with a windproof front panel, breathable eco fabric construction, and fun Shred Til Bed character artwork that makes your little one genuinely excited to get their kit on.

Our kids riding jersey is made for the trails. Featuring your kid’s favourite animals from our Shred Til Bed series, paired with a windproof front panel and durable and breathable eco fabric construction, this jersey will not only get your little one stoked to go riding — but it’ll keep them comfortable whilst they’re at it.

The windproof front panel is a particularly great idea for younger riders, as the pace of most rides is likely to be chilled — more so if the youngest is sat on a front-mounted seat, fully exposed to the wind. The nylon front panel blocks that wind chill while the eco fabric back stretches and breathes with movement.

Key Features

Fabric & Construction

• Body: 47% modal / 47% cotton / 6% spandex — a durable, stretchy, and breathable eco fabric blend that moves with your child, manages temperature, and feels soft against the skin
• Windproof front panel: 100% nylon — blocks wind chill at the front of the jersey where riding exposure is greatest; the front panel is nylon with limited stretch, while the back and sleeves are the softer, more flexible modal/cotton/spandex blend
• Drop tail at the back — extra coverage on the lower back when leaning forward in a riding position; stops the jersey from riding up over the waistband

Fit & Design

• Relaxed unisex fit — comfortable and easy to move in for all kids
• If your child is in between sizes, Kids Ride Shotgun recommend sizing up
• Shred Til Bed series character artwork — available in multiple character designs including Loose Lion, Dialled Dino, and Upshift Unicorn; each design features a beloved character that gets little riders genuinely excited to wear their kit

Sizing

• Available in: 2/YXXS, 4/YXS, 6/YS
• Age guide: approximately ages 2–6

Care

• Cold machine wash with like colours. Dry in the shade.

Why a Windproof Panel for Kids?

Young riders — particularly those seated on a front-mounted child bike seat like the Shotgun Pro — are fully exposed to oncoming wind chill with no ability to generate their own body heat through pedalling. A windproof front panel is genuinely one of the most useful features you can have in a kids’ riding jersey for exactly this reason: it blocks the chill that would otherwise have them asking to go home twenty minutes into the ride.

Despite the windproof panel, the jersey still has breathability, and on hotter days or faster rides, kids haven’t complained about getting too hot or sweaty — the modal and cotton blend on the back and sleeves breathes well enough to manage temperature in both directions.

Pairs With

The Kids Ride Shotgun Windproof Jersey was designed for the full Kids Ride Shotgun riding experience — pair with the Shotgun Pro Child Bike Seat + Handlebars Combo for the complete front-seat trail setup. Also pairs with the Kids Ride Shotgun pogies for cold hands on chilly morning rides.
