What Makes the Mota Enduro Race Different from the Standard Mota Enduro?

Compound: The Mota Enduro Race uses the 1C Race compound — a single ultra-soft rubber formulation combining Graphene and Silica, specifically developed for performance-oriented gravity riders seeking ultimate grip on any trail and condition. Unlike the standard Mota Enduro’s 4C Graphene compound (four rubber compounds of varying hardness, balanced for speed, grip, and durability), the Race variant uses a single soft compound across the full tread — softer than any of the four compounds in the 4C layup — for maximum outright traction and damping at every lean angle.

Casing: The Mota Enduro Race runs a 60 TPI race-specific reinforced nylon casing — lighter and more supple than the standard Mota Enduro’s 2-ply 120 TPI construction — with an anti-puncture layer placed between the tread and casing for increased robustness at the centre, and a high-tech rubber insert at the bead for rim strike protection and sidewall support.

Tread Pattern — Moto Blocks Built for Mud

The Mota’s tread is the most aggressive in Vittoria’s enduro range — designed for one specific purpose: maximum penetration and grip in soft, wet, and muddy terrain.

Moto-block spikes: Tall, widely spaced moto-inspired block spikes cut into soft dirt and loam, digging in for mechanical grip where softer, closer-knit tread patterns would simply skim the surface.

Generous spacing: The substantial gaps between the centre and lateral blocks are engineered for one specific job — rapid, automatic mud and debris evacuation with each revolution of the wheel. In the sloppiest peanut-buttery conditions where other tyres pack with mud and lose all traction, the Mota sheds and keeps biting.

Progressive siping throughout: Vittoria’s trademark progressive sipe width technology varies the sipe width from thick to thin across the tread blocks — thicker sipes flex more, creating an asymmetrical tread flex that delivers tenacious grab on roots and rocks without the instability experienced on the outside of the tread.
